Contrary to many traditions, we each are a unique, individual, non-duplicatable self. Our soul carries our self which carries our spirit. Our body anchors our soul in the corporeal dimension.
In the corporeal dimension our uniqueness can be known to ourselves and others, but not completely.
There are parts of us that other spirit and corporeal beings can see, touch, or intuit, but much of us is unknown to them.
Similarly, there are parts of us that we can see, and but spirit energies and beings cannot see. Finally, there are parts of us that even we cannot see or ever know.
Thus, mystery is ever-present.
The concepts of the divine and the providential have acquired some negative baggage or valences, but from a different perspective each concept offers a change to embrace life dynamically.
Divine energies and beings exist "out there," and sometimes are interactive with us humans, so we can be gifted with a good spirit, good energy, and good options.
However, we do not wait around for this, as much as we might hope for grace, enlightenment, and opportunity to present itself from the beyond. More importantly it is how we, as individuals and communities, create a divine spirit, that of love, service, and the betterment of self, others, and nature.
Similarly, providence has an element that is "out there" and comes to us, maybe even at propitious times. Mainly, however, although a Good Spirit exists and is with us, it is, mantra-style, "up to us" to create, bring, nurture, sustain, grow, and implement the providential in life.
The Divine Providence Abbey Community is an agency in formation. Currently it is represented by the ideas in this website and on the YouTube channel www.youtube.com/2live1slifewell
Please note that no spiritual or religious beliefs are needed to participate in Life's Journey Counseling. The word "spirit" there is about mindset, attitude, authenticity, and respectfulness, and just wanting to participate in some enterprise larger than oneself, no religious organization or activity needed.
However, for some the Abbey will be the foundation for their service and a path toward spiritual betterment and fulfillment.
If you would like to explore your own needs and interests along these lines or your own direction, feel free to contact James for a no-obligation exploratory dialog session.
